100% Cotton Pajamas

How to compare cotton pajama fabric while keeping waistbands, buttons and other components in view.

Start with the scope of the claim.

A label may accurately say the pajama fabric is 100% cotton even when the finished garment also includes elastic, thread, buttons or trim made from something else. Material First records these products as 100% cotton at the textile-fabric level rather than implying that every component is cotton.

What to compare

Fabric claim

Look for a percentage tied specifically to the fabric, not just “cotton-rich” or “cotton feel.”

Other components

Waistband elastic, buttons, thread, trim and prints may not share the fabric composition.

Certifications

Organic or textile certifications should be recorded only when the product page identifies them.

Fit and care

Compare sizing, shrinkage guidance and care instructions before choosing a set.

The Material First rule

We preserve the seller’s claim without stretching it. “100% cotton fabric” is useful information, but it is not automatically the same as “every part of this garment is cotton.”
