Match construction to the job.
A 100% cotton label is a useful starting point, but it does not predict thickness, durability, softness or cleaning needs. A throw is handled and washed differently from a rug. A pillow cover may include a closure or require a separately purchased insert. Compare the finished object, not only the fiber percentage.

Knit, woven, tufted and hand-stitched surfaces wear and feel differently even when the fiber is identical.
Dimensions
Check exact measurements rather than relying on “throw,” “large” or standard pillow terminology.

Confirm whether the item is machine washable, spot clean only or requires a particular drying method.
What is included
